摘    要： In module categories, torsion pairs can be characterized equivalently in terms of closure properties, orthogonality, and extension generation. In extended module categories, however, these three perspectives lead to different notions of torsion theory. In this talk, we discuss their relations and differences, and illustrate how the different notions arise naturally and play distinct roles in various applications.

简    介：周宇，北京师范大学数学中文色情 教授，国家级高层次青年人才。研究方向是代数表示论及其与几何拓扑的交叉，涉及有限维结合代数的模范畴、导出范畴、丛范畴以及更一般的阿贝尔范畴、三角范畴、外部三角范畴的结构与表示理论。论文发表在Adv. Math., Compos. Math., Trans. AMS, IMRN, J. Algebra, J. Topology, Forum Math. Sigma, 等国际知名期刊上。
